Currently, Candlewood Medical Centre provides Telehealth consultations to reduce the risk and spread of COVID-19. This is only available for patients who have attended the practice in the last 12 months.
The Telehealth consultations can be:
- Through the telephone which could be on the mobile or landline
- Through a video call using a smartphone or computer with internet access
Please note that your doctor may require you need a face to face consultation where for example you need to be examined physically.
It is recommended that during the Telehealth consultation you are located in a quiet, suitable environment for privacy and away from interruptions. The doctor will conduct the consultation in a consultation room to maintain your privacy.
Infection Control – When you arrive at the practice
Please do not enter if you have any symptoms related to COVID-19 such as sore throat, cough, fever, loss of smell, etc. Call the reception team on the phone and arrangements will be made to see you safely. You may be asked to remain in your car and be attended to by your doctor in the carpark. Please wear a mask.
You may also choose to remain in your car to avoid waiting in the waiting room. If you choose to wait in the car, please call the reception when you arrive and provide a number that the doctor can reach you along with your parking location and details of your car such as rego, colour and make.
Social Distancing and Hygiene
If you attend a face to face consultation, please practice social distancing to reduce the
risk and spread of COVID-19.
